Dalada Asiriya for our own in the North

30 years of brutal war ended answering our daily prayers, we were gifted freedom and peace enabled under the great leadership of His Excellency President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Under a concept of our chairman Tharunyata Hetak Member of Parliament Honourable Namal Rajapaksa. A program was coordinated to enable the youth in the north an awareness of our natural heritage and to strengthen our cultural relationships within Sri Lanka . 100 children were brought from a Vauniya camp to Kandy. Their visit was extended as we took them to the Dalada Maligawa, Dalada Perahera, Mahanuwara Ganadevi Kovila, Perdeniya Botanical Gardens. The Girl Guides of Kandy District also held a special show for these children.To enhance the educational aspect of this program we took the children to the Lucky Land Biscuit Factory and the Matale Aluviharey Temple.

The children were taken to watch a cricket match played between Sri Lanka and India where they met the players as well. In completion of a 3 days program the children went back to Vauniya. Our leader’s vision is our primary goal in life. We strive towards achieving his vision under his guidance to the best of our ability.
