A leader in its true essence on the meaning of leadership,Leader who led a nation towards freedom, A leader who led and motivated its mother land to success and gained global recongnition is none other than Honourable Esteemed Excellency President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Entire nation paid tribute to a hero who created history in the eyes of humanity.In order to commerate the second term as the Honourable President of the Democratic Socialistic Republic of Sri Lanka “Janapathi Padavi Prapthiyata - Deyata Sevana”.The event was held nation wide where all the government and non government organizations commenced the program on an auspicious time on the 16th of November 2010 1.1 million trees were planted all over the country.
Tharunyata Hetak headed by Hambanthota District Member of Parliament /Chairman Tharunyata Hetak Honourable Namal Rajapaksa paid their active role in this concern where 5000 trees were planted in Maha Maya College Mahara and Sapugaskanda and also trees were distirbuted to many religious heads.The signifying importance is that it commenced an Islandwide yearly project to plant trees all ove the Island.

The entire unit of Tharunyata Hetak was present to witness this great event with many religious and district heads and our special appreciation extends to Maha Maya College, Mahara and the sponsor Mr Shamith Jayawardhana for their very valuable contribution.
