Tharunyata Hetak Poson Kalapaya

Irrespective of any age,race or ethnicity barrier we serve our nation as our vision striving towards equality.A special program was held for Poson Poya from the 25th to the 30th June 2010.A special inter school Lantern competition was held in Weeraketiya,Beliaththa,Katuwana,Ambalathota,Suriyaweva and Thissamaharamaya.It included prizes of 1st prize - Rs 50,000, 2nd prize- Rs 25,000,3rd prize - Rs 15,000.The best Lantern was chosen district wise and the following prizes were also handed out 1st prize - Rs 75,000, 2nd prize- Rs 50,000,3rd prize - Rs 25,000.

In order to complete a religious week Honourable Chairman Namal Rajapaksa also took part in planting of trees signifying the close relationship of environmental concerns of Tharunyata Hetak”

In addition to this a special program was also held in Nikaweratiya of a competition of 600 lanterns .In Nikaweratiya Weva Addara Ntional School stadium a special Poson Dhansela and Perahera was held by Honourable Johnston Fernando and Tharunyata Hetak.The project was headed and coordinated by M.C Philip.
